Why This Site Exists
Custody information in Presque Isle County does not sit in one public database. A recent booking may require a call to the Sheriff’s Office, a past report may require a focused FOIA request, and a later court result may appear through MiCOURT. A person who has entered state custody belongs in the Michigan Department of Corrections system instead. This site organizes those distinct paths so readers can start with the office most likely to hold the record.
A booking documents an accusation and processing event. It does not establish guilt, and charges may change or be dismissed as a case moves through court.
Our Editorial Approach
Official sources come first. Local guidance is based on the Presque Isle County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s FOIA materials, Michigan court resources, and the MDOC OTIS information page.
